The U-shaped insulating plate is manufactured by impregnating alkali-free glass-fiber yarn with MPI resin and incorporating special additives, followed by stretching, extrusion, or molding using specialized equipment. Its key feature is that, in conventional aluminum-alloy U-groove covers combined with asbestos gaskets, a small portion of the anode current in the electrolytic cell bypasses the cover and flows directly into the cell body, resulting in current loss. By replacing these components with high-temperature-resistant MPI U-groove covers, the system achieves long-term thermal stability, corrosion resistance, and flame retardancy—all of which meet the requirements of electrolytic production. Testing has confirmed excellent insulation performance, effectively eliminating the issue of bypass conduction through the electrolytic cell cover. The product also exhibits superior high-temperature resistance, high strength, and outstanding weatherability.
